Guest of honour Warren Gatland helped Celtic Financial Planning Ltd, of Mold and St Asaph, raise £4,864 for a local children’s hospice charity at a recent ball.
Held at the Deganwy Quay Hotel and Spa, the event was kindly sponsored by Swayne Johnson and Summit Accountants and benefitted Hope House Tŷ Gobaith children’s hospices.
The evening was compered by ex-player and Rugby Gogledd Cymru manager Rupert Moon with businesses from across the area enjoying a two course meal, raffle, auction and hearing Warren Gatland recount tales from his astounding career in league and world rugby as guest speaker.
Rob Lewis from Celtic Financial Planning, said: "After touring the remarkable facilities at Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith and discovering the incredible work the team does, I felt a profound connection, especially as a father myself.
“I am delighted to have previously supported their Final Moments Matter campaign and am thrilled with the success of our recent first charity ball in aid of this cause."
Hope House Tŷ Gobaith fundraiser, Vanessa Marubbi was there on the night and said: “We were delighted to be chosen as the charity partner for Celtic Financial’s inaugural charity ball.
“We would like to say a special thank you to Rob, Jamie and the team for organising such an amazing event and raising such a huge amount.
“Without the support of local business in the community we could not do what we do, every penny will make a difference to the children and families we support.”
