A SIMPLY mer-mazing time was had during a visit to the children's ward at Glan Clwyd Hospital.
Tyler Turner, of Prestatyn, who won the title of of Miss Mermaid Wales 2019, put on a fin-tastic event when she visited the children's ward in Bodelwyddan with her fellow sea-dwelling creatures.
Tyler, the daughter of Welsh Hollywood actor Spencer Wilding who starred as Darth Vader in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, said: "We would like to say a big thank you to all the people who helped by donating to our collection for the children's ward at Glan Clwyd Hospital.
"The ward was in need of reusable bowls, plates, cutlery etc. Those that helped with donations included: The Mermaid’s Tail UK business, Tesco Superstore (Prestatyn Retail Park, Prestatyn), Morrisons Rhyl, Lolly Tomlinson-Roberts and her daughter Clara [representing Britannia Crystal Pageant system] ass well as the community and Abigail Driew.
"We had a mer-mazing time at the hospital.
"There was myself, mermaid Seren Hâf Hicks, princess Ariel Maddie Jones, mermaid Annabel Kelly and our mermaid security Rich Williams.
"We got to meet lots of children and the staff where amazing.
"We would all like to say a big thank you to everyone and we are looking forward to carrying out more visits."
This was Tyler's first visit to the hospital. She has visited schools previously.
