A CRASH has caused a partial blockage on the A55 between Abergele and Bodelwyddan this afternoon (May 6).
This is in the road’s eastbound direction, between junctions 24 (Abergele) and 25 (Bodelwyddan).
Traffic officers are at the scene, with long delays expected in the area.
Motorists have been encouraged to use alternative routes and avoid the area.
A witness told the Journal: "A large 4x4 vehicle was on its roof by St George, Abergele; all emergency services were at the scene.
"The traffic starts at the 50mph zone at Queensferry due to a motorhome breakdown, closing one lane - everything is backed up."
Traffic Wales added: “A55 North Wales Expressway Eastbound partially blocked, queueing traffic due to accident from J24 A547 Rhuddlan Road (Abergele) to J24A Primrose Hill (St George / Bodelwyddan).”
