A SUCCESSFUL Jamaican restaurant owner has confirmed a new branch will be opening very soon in North Wales.
Owner of the award-winning Jamaican restaurant 'Up a Yard', situated in Holywell, has confirmed a new 'late-night' branch will soon be opening in Prestatyn.
Charlotte Stanley followed her dream of opening an authentic and Jamaican-inspired restaurant in Flintshire and is now taking the project to a whole new level.
Called 'Back a Yard', the new venue will offer Jamaican dishes bursting with fresh and authentic flavours, homemade cocktails and a unique late music lounge featuring Reggae nights.

She said: "It's one of the maddest times at the moment with everything going up and people closing down but I love an opportunity like this to keep me focused and busier than I am already.
"Me and my amazing friends and family are doing the decorating, DIY and artwork all between us as well as working at Up A Yard.
"The next venture is a big one but one I'm ready for and just in time for summer on the high street."
'Up A Yard' on Greenfield Road in Holywell will remain open as usual when the new branch launches for three-night weekends to start with.
Not only did her existing business become recognised as the 'Top 10% restaurants worldwide' in 2023, 'Up a Yard' has also been awarded 'Best World Cuisine' in the Wales Food Awards. The business is also nominated in the 2024 Food Awards which has been postponed until June 3.
The restaurant first opened during lockdown after Charlotte began delivering her dishes locally to those who are more vulnerable, as well as hosting workshops in Flintshire-based schools.
Now occupying the former Lola's Bar on Prestatyn High Street, she hopes to reach more customers who travel the distance to her popular restaurant while bringing the taste of her heritage to a new area.
Further details including an exact opening date will be revealed soon on social media.
