DENBIGHSHIRE businesses are urged to apply for up to £50,000 through a new fund designed to empower their success and help them achieve their goals.
The Prosperous Denbighshire fund, led by Cadwyn Clwyd, is a project looking to support small and micro businesses in the county to adopt new innovative changes to thrive.
The fund is open now and will close on May 13.

Prosperous Denbighshire is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, prioritising “supporting local business”.
The aims of the Prosperous Denbighshire project are to boost productivity, pay, jobs and living standards by growing the private sector.
The project forms part of Denbighshire County Council’s Shared Prosperity Fund investment plan.
Donna Hughes, business projects officer at Cadwyn Clwyd, said: “The grant offers businesses in Denbighshire an opportunity to undertake much-needed changes that would otherwise be impossible without funding.
“The impact this grant will have on the businesses and wider economy are far-reaching.
“The businesses that have so far received the funding have launched new product ranges, purchased essential equipment, improved their marketing in order to boost sales and installed sustainable technologies.
“The opportunities are vast and we would encourage any business looking for funding to undertake a project to get in touch as soon as possible to avoid missing this opportunity.”
A success story of the programme is Patchwork Foods, a Ruthin-based company known for its artisan delicacies, including a wide range of gourmet pâtés.
Graham Jackson, Patchwork’s non-executive director, said: “The funding has allowed us to expand our range which has in turn boosted our productivity and efficiency.
“Thanks to the support given by Cadwyn Clwyd and the Prosperous Denbighshire grant we are looking to create new opportunities in addition to expanding into new markets at home and abroad which wouldn’t have been possible without the funding received.
“We would encourage any business in Denbighshire to look at the support available.”
There are two types of grants available to Denbighshire businesses - one is for larger projects looking to invest up to £50,000 in revenue and capital spending - which will receive 70 per cent of their costs with the grant.
The other is a business grant where investment will be no more than £2,000 but will receive up to 100 per cent of that grant.
Donna added: “Many businesses have already benefited from the grant since September 2023.
“The grant has meant that businesses have been able to trial new products, processes and service delivery, as well as adopting energy efficiency and low carbon technologies.
“We’re calling on Denbighshire businesses to take advantage of this opportunity which will support their business in introducing innovative technologies and new ways of doing businesses.
“Links to the application process and guidance are all available on the Cadwyn Clwyd website.”
