Work to revamp ornamental ponds in Rhyl now completed

In February, the Journal reported that work to regenerate the ornamental ponds had started; they had fallen into disrepair.

It was estimated that the work would take about a month.

A spokesperson from Denbighshire County Council (DCC) said: "We are pleased to confirm that work to regenerate the ornamental ponds in Rhyl has now been completed.

"The ponds had fallen into a state of disrepair and the council secured Shared Prosperity Funding to enable the completion of this work.

"The ponds are a historic landmark of the Rhyl seafront and the restoration work to ensure they are fully functioning enhances the appearance of the seafront in Rhyl."
