A BAR in Towyn plans to introduce a seated garden area at the front of its site to replace its units currently situated outside its premises.
Tinker’s Bar, on Towyn Road, has submitted an application with the assistance of GAR Property Consultants Ltd to Conwy County Borough Council’s planning committee.
It involves a change of use and part-demolition of its existing retail kiosk, and hopes that, should the proposals be approved, the new garden area will be ready later this year.

Owner James Tinker said: “We hope to put a garden area outside the front of the Towyn bar to replace the units that situate outside the bar currently.
“The units in front of our bar are looking tired and run-down and blocking view of the venue, so we thought it would be nice to have a modern seating area for customers to enjoy sitting outside.
“We think it will add a great spot for people to enjoy cocktails and our new food menu in the sun, in a central point in Towyn.
“We also think and hope this would help the view of the businesses behind the units, because at the moment, they, too, are being blocked by the run down looking units.
“Passing traffic, and people walking along the main road will be able to see our bar and also the shops that are currently not in view on from the main road.”
Tinker’s Bar opened its second premises, on Water Street, Rhyl, last July.
It replaced The Cove, which closed several weeks prior to Tinker’s Bar opening.
