AN ATTEMPTED burglary took place in an area of Rhyl, with police issuing a warning to residents.
The incident took place in the Cefndy Road area "recently", police said.
The force warned residents to lock their doors and windows when leaving their homes.
A North Wales Police spokesperson said: "We would like to make residents of Rhyl aware of an attempted burglary in the Cefndy Road area recently.
"As a preventative measure, please ensure all of your doors and windows are locked when going out.
"Consider CCTV or a recording doorbell and also think about marking all of your valuables with Smart Trace, a forensic liquid that can link any items marked to the owner.
"It is invisible to the eye but contains a digital DNA and when detected by police will ensure you get all of your items back and can also secure conviction in court."
