A WOMAN from Rhyl who runs her own aesthetics business in the town has celebrating moving into her own premises for the first time.

Rebecca Powell, 27, has run Esme’s Empire of Aesthetics for more than two years, and opened at her new base, at 10a Market Street, on February 26.

Named after her daughter, the business was initially based in Rebecca’s home, before she relocated to BEAU salon on Bedford Street, and later The Beauty Lounge on Kinmel Street.

She is also a finalist in the “best for aesthetics” category at the 2024 UK Hair and Beauty Awards; the first prize she has been nominated for.

Rebecca will discover if she has won the award at the ceremony on June 1 at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham.

“It’s gone really well, and it’s helped to expand my business,” Rebecca said.

“When I saw this place become available, I knew straight away I wanted to move in. With it being in the town centre, we get loads of walk-ins and passing customers.

“I have spaces to rent, and also shelves for small businesses to display their stock; I have a nail girl and an eyelash and eyebrow girl renting space at the moment.

“Opening my own place was my main goal, so I feel like I’m finally getting there with my business.

“I’m also starting training to be an educator in aesthetics, so I can then start training other people in it.”

Esme’s Empire of Aesthetics is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm, and on Saturdays from 10am to 5pm.
