A GROUP of bearded men based in Rhyl have kindly donated Easter eggs, toys, books and more to the children’s ward at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, Bodelwyddan.
The Rhyl branch of worldwide organisation Bearded Villains, which aims to make charitable gestures and was established in 2014, made the donations to the hospital on March 23.
Each year, the Rhyl group raises for various charities by organisations collections, drives, meets and events, to mention a few.

Jake Gore, of Phoenix Security North Wales, is one of the Rhyl members.
He said: “We wanted to showcase that there are still people who care and want to help.
“What we’re doing for the children’s Ward is a small collection of Easter eggs, toys and various other items to give to the young people on the ward.
“We don’t want them to feel as though they have been forgotten or are missing out at this time of year.
“This collection has been obtained by the guys across North Wales from our own pockets, with no assistance from the general public.
“We’re hoping that, once we start doing this each year for Easter, Christmas and other holidays, we would look towards the public for some additional support with raising funds and donating toys, treats and crucial items that may be in short supply.
“We are aware of the strain that’s placed on our local health board each day, and if we are able to just make some people smile and forget their hardships for a few moments, then we will continue to try and support the best we possibly can.
“We are immensely proud we can use our platform as part of Bearded Villains to achieve this.”
This year, The Trussle Trust foodbank is a nominated charity of Bearded Villains, with the group making a difference in supporting it in its goal to stop hunger in the UK.
