A PROPERTY in Rhyl which housed a convenience store before being left derelict more than a decade ago is on its way to being ready to re-open again.
The property, at 32 Bodfor Street, had previously housed F Knowles newsagents since it was established in 1919.
But after businessman Nuruj Chowdhury purchased it last June, he began renovating it in November, and has now made it available to let.

It is now on the market via Denbigh-based estate agents Monopoly, for a letting price of £1,100 per calendar month (£13,200 per annum).
Nuruj said: “I think it’s been closed for about 13 to 14 years, so it’s been a long time, and it’s been seen as a bit of an eyesore which was downgrading.
“So, I wanted to do it up and bring it back into use again. I want to keep it as a shop, but it all depends on what ideas people have.
“We only put it on the market on Friday, so there have been no offers yet.
“But, a bit like the town’s old Woolworths store, I feel like there is a bit of history with this place, especially having been established in 1919.”
Monopoly describes the property as having a “spacious interior and a highly visible storefront”, making it “ideal for retail, services, or office use”.
Mr Chowdhury also runs the Rhyl branch of Pepe’s Piri Piri, which opened at Marina Quay Retail Park last November.
He previously opened the NCGrillerz fast food business in Colwyn Bay.
