Pupils at Bodnant Community School in Prestatyn have recently received a grant for more than £7,000 from a windfarm fund.
The grant, from the Gwynt y Mor Community Fund and RWE, has been used to pay for equipment and resources to use in the outdoors for literacy and numeracy.
The children have enjoyed using the resources to build on their existing knowledge and love being outside to learn.
Headteacher Helen Vernon said: “As part of the Curriculum for Wales, outdoor learning is an essential tool for our children to have new experiences and a different way of learning."

She added: "We have invested a lot in our outdoor facilities, including forest schools, and this money has been a huge benefit to the school in providing the resources that the staff require to deliver high quality learning for all.
"We would like to thank Gwynt Y Mor for their kind, generous donation and hope to work with them again in the future.”
The Gwynt y Mor funding is a long-term investment of £19million across the windfarm’s lifetime, and helps communities of Conwy, Denbighshire and Flintshire.
