POLICE remain at the scene of an ongoing incident in Rhyl this afternoon.
North Wales Police confirmed they were called to the scene of a concern for safety incident shortly after midday today (February 25).
The incident at Knowlsley Avenue has led to a number of nearby roads being closed and a containment being put in place by police.
Residents are being urged to avoid the area.
A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: "Officers remain at the scene of an ongoing incident in Rhyl after being called shortly before midday today (Sunday, February 25) due to concerns for the safety of a man at a property on Knowsley Avenue.
"A containment has been put in place around the area for public safety and officers are communicating with the man who remains inside the property.
"Nearby roads are currently closed and people are asked to avoid the area for the time being.
"We'd like to thank local residents and commuters for their ongoing patience and understanding whilst we remain at the scene."
