A WOMAN from Rhyl who runs her own beauty and aesthetics business is celebrating being nominated for her first award.
Tanya Bower, who runs Luxe Beauty & Aesthetics, is in the running to be named businesswoman of the year at the 2024 Beauty and Aesthetics Awards.
After relocating her business into her own salon, on Wellington Road, for the first time last month, Tanya will discover if she’s a finalist in October.
The awards ceremony will then take place at the Hilton Deansgate hotel in December.

Tanya, 30, who has run the business for seven years, said: “I never normally enter anything like this.
“But I thought I’d give myself a little push, because I’ve worked really hard since I had my daughter 18 months ago.
“It’s all Instagram-based voting-wise, so I’m just trying to push it now, because it would be a really nice thing to have under my belt.
“It’s nice to have a bit of commotion and recommendation, as well. People who have nominated me have had to write why they think I should win, which has been lovely to read.”
Tanya was nominated for the award by her own customers, who described her as an “excellent technician” who “provides an excellent personalised service”.
She is planning to attend the December awards ceremony, with business having been even busier since she moved into her first salon last month.
Her business had previously been based at the Razorsedge hair salon on Brighton Road for the last three years.
Tanya added: “Business has been really good since moving to the salon a month ago. I’ve not stopped, to be honest - it’s been really nice.
“I’ve had a lot more passing trade, so there’s been a lot of new people coming through the door.
“My ambitions of winding down my working hours haven’t really worked out – which isn’t a bad thing!”
Luxe Beauty & Aesthetics is open from Tuesday to Saturday, staying open late on Tuesday evenings.
