THE POST Office has apologised to customers in Rhyl after several residents complained that it was "hardly ever open".
There was confusion among residents as to the Bodfor Street branch's opening hours, with some residents saying it was a "waste of time" attempting to be served there.
The Post Office said that the branch was currently closed due to staff sickness, and that updated opening hours, brought in in the summer, had not yet been advertised.
The company apologised for the inconvenience brought by the sudden closure, and said it hoped to re-open the branch this month.
A Post Office spokesperson said: “We carried out a review with the Postmaster for Rhyl in the summer and agreed new opening hours of Monday to Friday: 9am – 5.30pm; Saturday: 9am – noon.

"This enquiry has highlighted that the old opening hours are still advertised in error.
"We apologise for the confusion that this would have caused the community.
“In addition, the branch is unavoidably closed at the moment due to staff sickness.
"We are sorry for any inconvenience caused by this short-term unplanned closure.
"We hope that the branch will be able to re-open this month.
"In the meantime, alternative branches are Highfield Park, St Margarets Drive and Rhyl Coast Road.”
