DENBIGH's Amber Davies urged people to be "mindful" when posting comments on social media adding "we are just human beings."

Dancing on Ice's Amber revealed to Lorraine Kelly, on Tuesday's Lorraine, that she had reading people's comments on social media after finding herself in the skate-off on Sunday night.

The West End star and pro-skater Simon Proulx-Sénécal went head to head in the skate off with former Eastenders actor Ricky Norwood and professional partner Annette Dytrt.

Amber, who attended Ysgol Glan Clwyd in St Asaph, was saved by all four judges meaning Ricky was the latest celebrity to leave the competition.

She said to Lorraine on Tuesday, February 20: "I feel like I will ruin this week for myself if I don't just have fun. I spoke about it on my Instagram. I am quite sensitive, more sensitive than I thought, and I have been reading people's comments, it is so hard not to, and I really let it get into my head that everything I do is wrong in some people's perspectives in the audience

"Please be mindful when you are writing on people's social media because we are just human beings and rather than just coming onto my page, or someone else's page, and leaving a negative comment, go to the contestant's page that you support and leave a really lovely comment to them.

"We are working so hard, every week we are exhausted and I feel like go online and I'm disheartened. I've deleted Twitter (now 'X') anyway. I haven't been on tele for seven years and social media has changed - oh my gosh.

"I'm so grateful, me and Simon have had so much support and millions of nice comments so it is just those negative ones that get into your head."

The former Love Island star said she had a "gut feeling" that she was going to be in the skate-off.

"I had a gut feeling it was coming in some weird way," she said.
