A MAN is alleged to have been targeting elderly residents near Rhyl asking them to buy gold from him.
Police have issued an appeal for help identifying the man, who is said to be between 30 and 40 years old and 5ft 9in tall.
He was seen knocking on doors on February 2.

A message from PC Mathew Griffiths, of North Wales Police, read: “Please be aware that cold callers have been in the area of Bron Haul, Trelawnyd, Rhyl.
“On February 2, a male was seen in the area knocking on doors and asking to buy gold practically targeting elderly residents.
“The description of the male is aged around 30 – 40 years old, 5ft 9in tall, with dark hair.
“If the male is seen in the area please contact 101.”
