He will receive a total of £8,973.50, which can be broken down into the following categories:
- Redundancy - £3,930
- Unpaid Wages - £2,096
- Holiday Pay - £327.50
- Notice Pay - £2,620
This will be paid to him by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy due to JWS Print Ltd, the company which traded as Labelsprint, now being in liquidation.
Liquidators were appointed to JWS Print Ltd in May 2023 – per Companies House, Mr Scott had been appointed a director of the business in 2013, a year after it was founded.
Labelsprint was based at Cefndy Road Employment Park, and printed 20,000 different product types each year.
Tribunal judge Stuart McLeese ruled in Mr Scott’s favour at the hearing, which was held in Cardiff on January 22.
