WORK is taking place to regenerate the ornamental ponds in Rhyl.
The ponds have fallen into a state of disrepair.
A contractor has been appointed to take on the work. The project started this week and will take about three to four weeks.
A spokesperson from Denbighshire County Council said: "Denbighshire County Council has been successful in securing Shared Prosperity Funding to enable the regeneration of the ornamental ponds in Rhyl which have fallen into a state of disrepair over the year.
"The council has successfully appointed a contractor to complete this work which started this week and aims to be completed over the next three to four weeks.
"The ponds are a historic landmark of the Rhyl seafront and being able to restore them to fully functioning water features again will enhance the appearance of the seafront in Rhyl."
