A BOWLING club in Rhyl is making plans for the 2024 season, with several teams to enter competitions.
Grove Park Bowling Club, off Lynton Walk, is making plans for the 2024 season in earnest, after essential grounds maintenance work was undertaken throughout the winter thanks to the efforts of its hard-working volunteers.
Grove Park will again enter two mixed teams in the respective local bowling leagues, namely the Clwydian Seniors League on Tuesday afternoons, the Clwyd League on Thursday evenings and the North Wales Coast League on Saturday afternoons.
In addition, Grove Park Ladies team will continue to compete in the midweek Clwydian Ladies League on Wednesday afternoons.
Grove Park’s fine green hosted important merit competition finals in the 2023 season while the club’s Annual Open Mixed Triples Competition has proved to be very popular with bowlers throughout North Wales and beyond.

Additionally, the club holds regular internal social competitions at weekends throughout the season which are thoroughly enjoyed by members of all abilities.
Grove Park is keen to recruit new playing members of all ages and abilities for the coming season.
Coaching of newcomers to the sport will be provided by qualified club coaches.
The club will be hosting a series of Open Days on three successive Saturdays – on March 9, 16 and 23 2024 from 11am to 4pm.
