AN INSTAGRAM account has been made purporting to share videos of fights between pupils of Prestatyn High School (PHS).
The account, created earlier this month, encourages people to “send me fights from PHS and I’ll put them up”.
PHS said its headteacher, Neil Foley, is aware of the account, and has contacted all of its pupils’ parents on the matter.
It added that the account, which has posted 18 times and has 83 followers, is largely sharing videos which are several years old, involving former PHS pupils.
Instagram users must make a request to follow the account and view its content.

‘Homely’ Prestatyn High School receives positive Estyn report
A school spokesperson said: “Prestatyn High School is aware of the Instagram account and the headteacher has contacted all parents to respond to their concerns.
“The majority of these Instagram videos are several years old, by perpetrators no longer at Prestatyn High and took place off school grounds.
“The school strongly condemns all acts of violence and antisocial behaviour and has robust process in place to deal with such matters whether they take place inside or outside of school.
“The school has a track record of removing pupils who demonstrates such behaviour, and it will continue to do so.
“All antisocial behaviour that comes to the school’s attention will be dealt with as a matter of priority and will be taken seriously.
“The school is fully aware of the impact of such content and is working with parents and the local community to stamp out violent and antisocial behaviour with a view to improving the Prestatyn community.
“It also reminds parents that they have a responsibility to encourage their children not to engage in such behaviour in the community.
“Any pupil who records or posts antisocial behaviour on social media, including fights involving its pupils, will receive strong sanctions.”
