A MAN from Kinmel Bay has been handed a community order after assaulting two police officers at a hospital in Cheshire.
Michael Malpass, 58, of Foryd Road, was ordered to complete 10 rehabilitation activity requirement days and pay £200 in compensation at Chester Magistrates’ Court on January 12.
He had previously admitted two counts of common assault of an emergency worker, and one charge each of threatening behaviour and possession of a class B drug.

The court heard that, on August 21, Malpass exhibited such threatening behaviour while at Leighton Hospital, Crewe, while also being in possession of cannabis.
During the same incident, two police officers, PCs Lee and Worth, were assaulted by him.
A further charge of assaulting a hospital security guard was withdrawn.
The cannabis found upon Malpass’ person was ordered to be forfeited and destroyed, meanwhile.
