A “VERY successful recruitment day” was held by Lyons Holiday Parks last month following the closure of Pontins’ site in Prestatyn, which has resulted in more than 40 people joining the company.
Prestatyn Sands Holiday Park, on Barkby Avenue, shut for good yesterday (November 30), having been open since 1971.
Following this news, Lyons Holiday Parks, which has 20 sites across North Wales and Cumbria, extended its sympathies to those made redundant as a result, and encouraged them to attend its recruitment day on December 8.
The company also urged those people to send their CVs to its recruitment department, in a bid to help families have a positive view of at least starting 2024 with employment opportunities.

A statement from Lyons read: “After a very successful recruitment day following the sad close-down news of Pontins Prestatyn, we have hired more than 40 brand new staff, with still many roles available as we prepare for the start of an exciting and busy new season this March!”
You can still apply for various roles with Lyons Holiday Parks, including lifeguard, graphic designer, bar staff and more, by visiting the company’s website.
