A WOMAN from Rhyl who runs her own aesthetics business in the town has been shortlisted for a prize at the 2024 UK Hair and Beauty Awards.
Rebecca Powell, 27, has run Esme’s Empire of Aesthetics for little more than two years, and said the “best for aesthetics” award is the first prize she has been nominated for.
Named after her daughter, the business was initially based in Rebecca’s home, before she relocated to BEAU salon on Bedford Street.
She is now based within The Beauty Lounge, on Kinmel Street, having rented a room at the salon which opened last month.
Rebecca will discover if she has won the award at the ceremony on June 1 at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham, which she is planning to attend.
“I’m excited – it’s nice to be recognised,” she said.
“We do dermal fillers, anti-wrinkle treatments, facials, skin boosters, and more.
“It’s gone really well since moving to The Beauty Lounge. I wanted somewhere a bit more private and personal.
“I can't thank everybody enough for the continued support. This business means so much to me, as all I want is my children to have a stable future. It’s them who I do it all for.”
