PUPILS at a school in Rhyl got creative as they took part in a railway safety art project at Rhyl railway station.
Students from Christ the Word Catholic School were tasked with creating pieces for display at the station, using spray paint and colouring to etch their named onto cardboard sheets.
The art pieces will be showcased at the station, with several children saying they enjoyed the activity – particularly spray painting.
One pupil said “it was really good, I enjoyed the cardboard and making our names”, while another said “it was great because we got to do spray painting and colouring".
A third student added: "I liked when we were spray painting and catching. The man was very helpful. My favourite bit was the spray painting because we got to spray."

Another pupil also loved the spray painting, and said: "I really enjoyed it. The best part was using the spray paint, because I haven't done it before. I would like to do it again."
The project was run with the help of British Transport Police, and was completed over two days.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “Great two days at Christ the Word in Rhyl with pupils engaging in a railway safety art project, to be displayed at Rhyl Railway Station.”
