A DESSERT and hot food shop in Rhyl is to temporarily close, with a sale of the property nearly finalised.
Sweet Steve’s, at 18 Bodfor Street, is to shut tomorrow (November 24), but will later re-open under new ownership.
When it re-opens, its opening hours will be:
- Mondays - 4-10.30pm
- Tuesdays - closed
- Wednesdays - 4-10.30pm
- Thursdays - 4-10.30pm
- Fridays - 4-11.30pm
- Saturdays - 4-11.30pm
- Sundays - 4-11.30pm
In August, the business said it had made the “very difficult decision” to place it on the market.

A statement from Sweet Steve’s yesterday (November 22) read: “As most of you may already be aware, Sweet Steve's has been up for sale.
“We are nearly at completion of handing the business to new owners, who will continue to sell most of the current menu, with some adjustments here and there.
“They will be introducing a new hot savoury menu, also.
“We do not have a specific date for this yet; however, the current Sweet Steve’s team will be closing at 10.30pm this Friday.
“So, if you want to pop in before we close, we would love to see you all and provide you with our service before the new owners take over.
“If anything changes we will keep you all updated.”
Sweet Steve’s opened last year, and serves desserts, hot dogs, burgers and more.
