RESIDENTS are being invited to have their say on future improvements for walking, wheeling and cycling along Nant Hall Road in Prestatyn and the connection along the town’s High Street to its railway Station.

Along the route are Bodnant Community School, Parc Prestatyn Shopping centre, and the High Street.

Comments on the immediate surrounding area are also welcome.

Workshop attendees will also be given the opportunity to view and offer feedback on the evolving designs for the Penisardre Road and High Street junction, as well as the Bridge Road/Gas Works Lane junction.

Denbighshire County Council is currently working with Sustrans Cymru to understand how to make active travel in the area accessible, safer and more enjoyable for the whole community.

This project is made possible by Welsh Government's Active Travel Fund.

Sustrans, on behalf of the council, is now seeking feedback from the people that live, work and travel along Nant Hall Road who could benefit from the proposals, on what they would like to see along the new route in the future.

You can visit the project website, hosted by Sustrans, at: https://storymaps.arcgis.com/stories/fd984c7d592a4cf79d970704a4718871.

Cllr Barry Mellor, the council’s lead member for environment and transport, said: “Encouraging active travel helps reduce car journeys, improves air quality, and offers safe routes for pedestrians and cyclists while also providing health and wellbeing benefits.

“We’d like to hear from residents what they think about the proposals and encourage people to take part in the consultation.”

People can share their ideas and feedback by coming to workshops from 6-8pm on November 22 in Prestatyn Library.

There will also be a smaller pop-up on High Street, near Claire House at 10am-12pm on November 23.
