The event will encompass the whole of the top floor in Rhyl library, and will run from 11.30am – 1.30pm.

It will enable attendees to engage with a range of employers, as well as community-based organisations.

These stalls will be providing information on jobs, wellness and wellbeing, advice regarding pensions and finance, self-employment, volunteering and other activities, educational and training opportunities available to those who are employed or looking for work.

Cllr Jason McLellan, leader of Denbighshire County Council and lead member for economic growth and tackling deprivation, said: “This event will offer a wealth of knowledge on wellbeing in the workplace, and will showcase the support that is available to the people of Denbighshire.

“The event will help link service providers with those who are needing some support in work, and is completely free to attend.”

The event is part of a series run by Working Wales for Older Workers Week.

Working Denbighshire has worked alongside the team at Working Wales to ensure that Denbighshire residents receive an opportunity to gather free advice, guidance to help people get into work or further their career.

Tina Foulkes, manger at Working Denbighshire, said: “Employment support is important for all our residents who are in work and not in work, as life brings everyone different challenges.

“As well as Working Denbighshire, there are many services that offer a variety of support that aim to positively impact people’s wellbeing.

“Our aim for this event is to make sure the right people know about them.”

Peter Cadmore, stakeholder engagement manager at Working Wales, said: “Whatever your circumstances, our experienced and professionally trained careers advisers can provide free and impartial careers guidance and coaching.

“This event will give you an opportunity to talk through your options and start making changes that positively impact your career.”
