A MAN from Rhyl has been jailed after he headbutted an officer and spat in a police vehicle during an incident in the town last month.
Peter Diparno, 42, of John Street, was sentenced to 26 weeks’ imprisonment at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on November 6.
On the same day, he admitted charges of threatening behaviour, common assault of an emergency worker, and criminal damage to property.

Man fare-dodged when taking train from Prestatyn to Rhyl
The court heard that, on October 4 on River Street, Diparno headbutted PC Sam Roberts, and exhibited threatening behaviour towards another constable.
This second offence was aggravated by Diparno making comments regarding sexual orientation.
He spat in a police car later that day.
Diparno was spared having to pay costs due to his lack of financial means.
In July, he was fined £40 for travelling by train between Prestatyn and Rhyl without having paid the £3.70 fare.
