THE Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) crew has been handed a cheque of more than £8,500 from a holiday park based near Prestatyn.
Officials from Presthaven Sands Holiday Park visited the Rhyl RNLI boathouse last week to present the cheque to coxswain, Martin Jones, and mechanic, Callum Robinson, worth £8833.40.

This will go towards the national total being raised by the Haven group, which owns Presthaven Sands, throughout the UK.
The group has supported the RNLI for many years and has helped raise much-needed funds for the charity.
Martin Jones said: “The lifeboat station is very grateful to Bourne Leisure (of which Haven is a part) for their support on this part of the North Wales coast.
“The donation will go towards saving lives at sea and on inland waters around the UK.”
