A RETIRED police officer turned yarn bomber spent a week creating a soldier post box topper to mark Remembrance Day.
Rachel Williamson's tribute to the fallen stands on the post box on East Parade, Rhyl. It is adorned with poppies that have been donated and the phrase 'Lest We Forget.'
The topper itself is crocheted and the soldier and hat are knitted.
Rachel said: "We have put the topper out as a mark of respect to all the people who fought for this country.
"The poppies on the topper were kindly donated and my mum made the medals. It took us about a week to make it and put it all together.
"I wasn't going to make one this year because we've got so much to do with the Christmas toppers but it didn't feel right to let November 11 go by without doing something."
Remembrance Sunday is a national opportunity to remember the service and sacrifice and honour those who gave their lives in both World Wars and more recent conflicts.
