A PUB in Dyserth which closed temporarily after suffering thousands of pounds’ worth of damage from the flooding caused by Storm Babet will welcome customers back next month.
The New Inn, on Waterfall Road, said it was “really sad” to have to shut its doors after heavy rain on October 20 devastated the area.
But today (November 3), the pub confirmed that it will re-open its doors on Friday, December 1.

A statement from The New Inn read: “Jill, Ian and all the team are excited to announce that they will be opening in just four weeks.
“We can't wait for you all to see the amazing hard work that's going into pub. Watch this space for updates.”
Jill Carmichael, who runs the pub, previously told the Journal that repairs to the premises’ flooring and upholstery are likely to cost in the region of £15,000.
Since closing, the pub has been offering its leftover stock to foodbanks.
When it initially closed, the pub said: “Due to Storm Babet, we are all really sad to tell you we have had to close until further notice.
“We truly cannot thank you enough for all your kindness and support today, and also recently during our takeover.
“Dyserth is an amazing community to be a part of.”
On Wednesday (November 1), a public meeting was held regarding how Dyserth can be better prepared for heavy rain in the future.
There were talks of setting up a community group during this meeting, which was attended by James and Gareth Davies, the MP and MS of Vale of Clwyd respectively.
