AN APPLICATION to build a new dwelling at the site of a former care home in Rhyl has been given planning permission.
The site, at 2 Morlan Park (formerly Montana Nursing Home), currently sits vacant.
Rhyl-based JPH Architects has acted on behalf of the applicant, a Mr Jones, with Denbighshire County Council’s planning committee approving the plans yesterday (October 24).

The plans have been amended from an initial application in 2021 for four apartments to be built at the site.
These were revised and re-submitted to the council on August 29.
When consulted on the plans, no objections were raised by both Rhyl Town Council and Denbighshire County Council’s Highways authority.
