A PRIMARY school in Rhyl has closed for the rest of the day after rain caused its toilets to "over flow".
Ysgol Emmanuel, on Victoria Road, closed at 1pm today, and informed parents that their children could be collected from the usual doors, not the front entrance.
This comes as Storm Babet engulfs North Wales, which has seen torrential rain all day.
A spokesperson for the school said via social media: "Due to flooding in Victoria Road which is causing our toilets to overflow we will have to close the school at 1 o'clock today.
"We realise this is inconvenient but we are unable to operate without fully working toilets and the rain is not showing any signs of easing up.
"The water levels in the road are also becoming high.
"Please do not call the school unless it is an emergency as this will block the lines and can you please come to the usual doors to collect your children (not to the front entrance).
"If you need to send messages please text the school phone."
