A MALE is believed to have approached a child getting off a school bus in Kinmel Bay yesterday afternoon (October 18).
Police have confirmed that it is investigating the matter, and will step up the presence of officers in the area.
Parents and children have asked to be “vigilant,” meanwhile.
North Wales Police said: “We are investigating a suspicious incident that occurred in the Kinmel Bay area yesterday afternoon.
“It is believed an unknown male followed and then approached a school child getting off a school bus, which has clearly caused some concern.
“Please be assured we are in touch with the family and they are supporting our investigation.
“Whilst our enquiries are at an early stage, we ask that parents and children are vigilant during their travel to and from school.
“There will be an increased police presence in the area over the coming days, and an update will be provided in due course as appropriate.”
