A WOMAN from Rhyl gave the front of her property a spooky makeover last weekend as she and children hosted a Halloween party.
Gemma Sloan’s home on Ernest Street was transformed into a “Halloween house” on Friday (October 13), as she decorated the entirety of the outside of her house.
The party included pumpkin carving, mummifying, pin the eyeball on the zombie, wooden stocks, a “zombie DJ”, and best-dressed competitions.

She said: “The party was to boost everyone’s mood and get all of the kids having fun. We had a lot of neighbours and friends come over, so there was a fantastic turnout.
“The setup was amazing, with a fog machine, strobe lights and a selection of songs, and a buffet laid on with lots of different snacks.
“I went as a zombie cheerleader, my eldest dressed up as ‘Pennywise’ (‘It’), my daughter went as Tate from ‘American Horror Story’, and my son as ‘Jigsaw’.
“I wanted to decorate the house up. We’ve been through quite a lot, so I thought we all needed cheering up, so I went all out. We all helped decorate the house and carve pumpkins.
“It’s just about having fun, smiling, and keeping people upbeat.”
