A WOMAN from Rhyl was handed a community order after assaulting a man in the town last month.
Martine Steele, 38, of Sholing Drive, was accused of assaulting Ian McCarthy in Rhyl on September 25.
She admitted a charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on October 3, before being made subject to the community order.

The terms of this order involve Steele undergoing nine months of alcohol treatment, and a maximum of 15 days’ rehabilitation activity.
Steele is to pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service, as well as a surcharge of £114.
This total of £199 is to paid as a full lump sum within 14 days.
An application was made for deductions from her benefits.
