Halloween & Christmas shop to replace New Look at Rhyl shopping centre

The shop, to be opened by Bedfordshire-based businessman Chris Biegala, will take on the premises previously occupied by New Look, before its departure from the shopping centre in July.

Its “grand opening” is planned to take place on Friday, October 13, with the store set to be open seven days a week.

Currently, it is not due to stay open into the new year.

Chris, whose main business is a Bedfordshire flower shop he has run for 24 years, said: “We won’t have any tacky gear, only nice stuff. Everything we have will be good-quality.

“The Christmas stuff won’t really kick until after Halloween, but we’re going to be doing something for Halloween, as well.

“Backed by one of the UK’s largest importers, will we bring to Rhyl a wonderful mix of quality Christmas decorations, lights, wreaths, garlands and inflatables.

“We will be loading out this week, and by the following weekend, we should have the shop looking  great, with lots of exciting things.

“There will be a choice of over 30 lines of pre-lit and artificial trees, decorations and lovely Christmas fare.

“Closer to the big day, we will be offering a range of real Christmas trees, fresh holly and fruit wreaths, cut holly and, if you fancy a kiss, fresh mistletoe.

“There is also a comprehensive range of the latest new gifts, including many favourites.

“Although our emphasis is on quality, we all love a bargain, so look out for our Christmas ‘clearance gems’, not available anywhere else.”

New Look’s final day of business at the White Rose Centre was Tuesday, July 25.

It was not the first business to close at the shopping centre this year, with Iceland having left the premises in March.

In the summer of 2022, the centre’s Superdrug and Three stores also shut for good.
