WORK will commence to drain Marine Lake this week, as part of pre-planned maintenance within the penstock chamber.
Contractors will be on the site across October to perform the pre-planned works, but the surrounding areas will remain open as usual.

The works have been planned to take place out of the summer season, and the lake will be re-filled upon completion.
Cllr Barry Mellor, lead member for environment and transport, said: “This work is part of the planned maintenance work.
“We would like to thank residents for their understanding and patience whilst this work takes place.”
