THE latest Rhyl postbox topper pokes fun at Wales' new 20mph 'snail speed'.
The new creation on Rhuddlan Road, by Ysgol Dewi Sant, features a large snail and toadstools. The snail represents how yarn-bomber Rachel Williamson feels when driving around Wales.
Rachel said: "The new topper took three days to make. My mum has made the two little snails and the toadstools and I have made the rest.
"The snail represents how I feel when I'm driving anywhere in Wales and there is a road embroidered on it. I'm not really political so I expressed myself with this topper.
"Overall the response has been very positive, there have been a few negative comments but everyone is entitled to their opinion.
"I don't think the 20 mph should be scrapped completely, I think it makes perfect sense outside the schools and along the prom and in the summer months. But the rest of it makes no sense at all."

A petition, opposing the new default speed limit is Wales, has attracted more than 430,000 signatures.
The Welsh Government introduced a default 20mph speed limit on restricted roads across Wales on September 17. Restricted roads are usually located in residential and built-up areas and often have street lights on them.
The Welsh Government say they have made the change to:
- Reduce the number of collisions and severe injuries from them (also reducing the impact on the NHS from treating the people who are injured)
- Encourage more people to walk and cycle in communities
- Help to improve health and well-being
- Make streets safer and safeguard the environment for future generations.
