THE Journal paid a visit to a delicious new Pan-Asian noodle bar in Rhyl yesterday (September 22) following its opening in the town centre last month.

"Chopstix", at 13-15 High Street, welcoming customers to for the first time on August 15, and marked the day by giving away 100 free small boxes.

The Rhyl branch includes 30 seats for in-store dining, as well as takeaway and delivery options.

Its opening hours are 11am-11pm, seven days a week, with delivery available from 11am-10.30pm.

During our visit, we were treated to a delicious meal of its new limited edition “Smoky Seoul Chicken”, salt and pepper chicken bites, red Thai chicken curry, spring rolls and vegetable noodles.

Chopstix’s menu also includes egg fried rice, sweet chilli prawns, and a variety of curries.

Brad Clark, general manager of the Rhyl store, said: “It’s nice to be up and running. We had a really good grand opening. We had to pause doing deliveries for a few weeks, because demand in the store was just too much!

“We’re starting to pick up a few deliveries now, and have just gone live with Just Eat, Uber Eats and Deliveroo.

“Caramel chicken and the salt and pepper chicken have been especially popular; they’ve been our bestsellers so far.

“We had a lot of tourists come at the start, during the summer holidays, a lot of locals have said that Rhyl has needed something like this. We even get some people in more or less every night!”

Chopstix owners Sam Elia and Menashe Sadik launched their first business together in Camden High Street, London selling fish and chips, pizza, kebabs and falafels.

They soon added Chinese and Pan-Asian food to their offering and, in 2002, opened their first dedicated Chopstix store.
