A MALE casualty was taken to hospital following an incident at a bridge in Rhyl yesterday morning (September 4).
Police, paramedics, Coastguard crews and Rhyl’s RNLI team all attended the matter, at about 6.30am at the Foryd Bridge.
The male was transferred to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd in Bodelwyddan, following what a North Wales Police spokesperson described as a “concern for safety incident”.
According to a spokesperson for Holyhead Coastguard Rescue Team, he was “recovered from the mud”, before being “passed into the care of the ambulance service”.
An eyewitness said the emergency services seemed to be “pulling someone out of the water”.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called yesterday, at approximately 6.30am, to reports of an incident at the Foryd Bridge, near Wellington Road, Rhyl.
“We sent one emergency ambulance, one duty operational manager and one Cymru High Acuity Response Unit to the scene.
“We conveyed one patient to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd for further treatment."
