A “VERY spooky episode” of the television programme “Help! My House Is Haunted” which was filmed in Rhyl will air next month.

The show, which you can watch on streaming platform Discovery+, sees a team of experts travel the UK looking into instances of paranormal activity in the homes of ordinary people.

The full fifth series of the show becomes available to watch on Discovery+ on Sunday, October 1, with the Rhyl episode being available to view from Sunday, November 12.

Paranormal researcher Bethan Briggs-Miller, who hosts the podcasts “Eerie Essex” and “Spectre of the Sea”, will appear on the episode as the historian and folklore expert.

She said viewers should expect “interesting surprises, and old spectres and hauntings from that street that link in (with each other)” in the Rhyl episode.

Filming took place in Rhyl in mid-March, in what was a first visit to the town for Bethan, who hails from South Wales.

Bethan also enjoyed a trip to Les Harkers Amusements on West Parade with her mother, where they “desperately tried to win a Grogu!”

She said: "I looked at the history of the area – the paranormal history, the folklore – and tried to narrow it down to the street where the house that they’re investigating is.

“Once they’ve got that information, it builds a bigger picture, and I did actually manage to find very specific things about the paranormal nature of the street, which I think will link in quite nicely.

“We uncovered some very interesting paranormal history of the location, and it should make for a very spooky episode. They’re still making connections with things.

“It’s going to be a really dark, interesting episode – it’s good and gory. I’m super excited about it – I’d love to tell you all about it, but I can’t yet!”

The fourth series of “Help! My House Is Haunted” concluded last December.
