A TEENAGER from Prestatyn has welcomed his first customers to his new bespoke furniture store in the town following its opening earlier this month.

Charlie Osbourne-Morris, 19, launched “Destiny Home Interiors” on Friday, August 18.

It is based at 105 Victoria Road, a site that had been left vacant for years following the departure of “On a Roll” sandwich shop.

He said: “We’re still waiting on the new signage, but it’s gone OK so far. We’ve had a lot of caravan owners come in, so we’ve found a new venture in caravan upholstery.

“With the amount of caravan owners in the area, it would be cheaper than replacing a sofa, so we’re going to see how the first ones go, at least.

“At the moment, we’re open 1-5pm on Fridays, and 10am-5pm on Saturdays and Sundays, but we plans to increase the opening times soon.”

Charlie worked at a furniture shop in Manchester for a year-and-a-half after leaving school at the age of 16.

Initially, he is running the business as well as working his current full-time job for a glass recycling company in Ellesmere Port.

Charlie added: “We’re going to have different weekly offers soon, which will hopefully do well, too.

“It’s been harder than I thought it’d be; I’ve constantly got things to do, but I personally like that. I’m putting this work in for myself, not for another business or corporation.

“I’m doing crazy hours, but I definitely feel like it’ll be worth it.”
