A FURNITURE business has opened its new shop in Prestatyn, at a property formerly occupied by a Home Bargains store.
“Prestatyn Furniture” welcomed customers to 86 High Street for the first time at 9am on Saturday, August 26.
It also held an open evening on Thursday, August 24, which also involved a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
This was attended by fellow High Street traders, as well the MP for Vale of Clwyd, James Davies; and mayor of Prestatyn, Cllr Bob Murray.

Tom Hughes, of Prestatyn Furniture, said: “We've had a very busy few days what with all the excitement of our new store opening.
“We were well used to faces peering through the window throughout the building and setup works!
“Monday’s Prestatyn Classic Car Show, and the Rhyl Air Show on Saturday and Sunday, only increased the numbers in town, it seems.
“We've had very positive feedback so far, with a lot of people very happy to have a furniture store now on their High Street.
“We couldn't be happier with how it's gone so far, and are very much looking forward to the next few weeks.”
Home Bargains shut at the site last December, relocating to a bigger premises in the town on Gas Works Lane.
Tom’s parents, Alison and Andy Hughes, initially opened “Coast Road Furniture” in 1972 in Deeside, which has been trading successfully ever since.
Previously, Andy told the Journal: Andy said: “We pride ourselves on selling British-made furniture, and deliver to the room of your choice and offer free delivery.
“We sell everything for the home; from carpets, beds, bedroom furniture, lift and rise chairs, electric beds and suites.
“When the Home Bargains store became vacant, we saw an opportunity to expand our already successful business.”
