NEW food hygiene ratings have been given to six businesses in Rhyl and Prestatyn, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

The food hygiene rating scheme gives businesses in England and Wales a rating of 0-5, 5 being the highest, based on their hygiene standards.

The scheme is run in partnership with local authorities and in Wales businesses are obligated to display their rating.

The following businesses in Rhyl and Prestatyn were rated:

  • Rated 5: Costa Coffee at Fountain Place, Abergele Road, Bodelwyddan, Rhyl; rated on July 26
  • Rated 5: League of Friends at Rhuddlan Road, Bodelwyddan, Rhyl; rated on July 26
  • Rated 5: La Ricetta at 226 High Street, Prestatyn; rated on July 20
  • Rated 4: Foryd Centre Community Cafe at Princes Street, Rhyl; rated on July 5
  • Rated 4: Chang Wing Fish & Chips & Chinese Take Away at 73 Rhyl Coast Road, Rhyl; rated on July 12
  • Rated 3 MFARRINGTON BARS and Catering at St Melyd Golf Club, The Paddock, Prestatyn; rated on July 12
