LIFESAVERS launched following reports of six children on two inflatables floating near rocks. 

Rhyl Lifeboat were called on August 26, just after 4pm, following an alert from the coastguard. 

RNLI Rhyl posted on social media on August 27 just after 7pm: "During the first day of the air show, the ILB crew were paged after coastguards received reports of children on the revetment wall marking the entrance to Rhyl harbour, in line with the aircraft display flightpath, and on an ebb tide. The ILB launched and discovered six children in two separate inflatables near the revetment rocks.

"The children had made it safely to the rocks, and so they were supervised getting back to the beach over the rocks, and given safety advice by both coastguards and lifeboat crew."
