THE “Prestatyn Rocks” family festival made its return to the town last weekend as part of the August bank holiday celebrations.

Based in the CookHouse Pub and Carvery’s car park on High Street on August 26 and 27, the free event featured live music, family entertainment, outdoor bars, barbecue and street food, and children’s rides and stalls.

Saturday’s lineup included alternative rock band “Sister Envy”, “Archie”, covers band “Hair of the Dog”, “Just Hannah”, Flintshire indie rock band “The Fleekers”, “Aaron Mayes”, “Chloe Jade”, “Te Amo”, plus children’s entertainment from “A Little Magic”.

Sunday’s schedule comprised “Sinusoidal”, “Noisewave”, girl group “Problematic”, and “Becky Woolford”, plus some of Saturday’s performers.

Shelly Kennedy, marketing and events manager, said: "Well, what another fantastic year for Prestatyn Rocks!

"We welcomed back some familiar faces for our live music line-up, as well as a host of new talent, ensuring our stage was bouncing all weekend!

"We thank the local community for showing support once more to our annual family festival and hope that you all had a fantastic time over this bank holiday weekend, as the weather was - mostly - glorious!

"Year on year, we get to work alongside lots of fantastic, independent local businesses, and this year's vendors brought an incredible variety of stalls and attractions that ensured everyone had fun.

"We look forward to seeing you all again soon!"

“Bearjamin” the fundraising bear had his own stall at the event, giving people the chance to win a teddy of their own or a signed football while raising money for homeless families in the process.

Other stall holders included “The Horsebox Mobile Bar”, “Tiny Tots Inflatables”, and more.
