A HOLIDAY park in Rhyl has cancelled its upcoming outdoor screenings of “The Greatest Showman” and “Barbie” at its premises.
Lyons Robin Hood, on Rhyl Coast Road, was due to show The Greatest Showman tonight (August 23), followed by Barbie on August 30.
But it has cancelled both events due to the “poor quality of equipment supplied by an external contractor”.

The holiday park showed “Matilda the Musical” at an outdoor screening on August 16.
A statement from Lyons Robin Hood read: “We regret to inform our owners and guests that our outdoor cinema events initially planned to take place on August 23 and 30 at Lyons Robin Hood have now been cancelled.
“Because of the poor quality of equipment supplied by an external contractor, we feel it's important to reevaluate the events so we can best serve all our guests, and cancelling is unfortunately the only viable option in such short notice.
“As the outdoor cinema events sparked excitement with our guests, and not to disappoint again, we have decided to invest in our own equipment where our entertainment team will deliver the magic of film and deliver a memorable family experience.

Initially released in cinemas in July, “Barbie”, starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, has already surpassed the billion-dollar mark at the global box office.
