A PAN-Asian noodle bar chain has opened its Rhyl store today (August 15), with 100 free small boxes to be given away on opening day.

"Chopstix", at 13-15 High Street, is welcoming customers to its latest store for the first time today.

The Rhyl branch included 30 seats for in-store dining, as well as takeaway and delivery options.

It will create up to 20 jobs, at the site which was previously occupied by a Claire House charity shop until February 2021.

This follows the opening of its store at Presthaven Caravan Holiday Park in Prestatyn earlier this year.

Chopstix’s menu includes egg fried rice, vegetable noodles, sweet chilli prawns, and a variety of curries.

Rob Burns, marketing director for Chopstix, said: “Chopstix prides itself on creating a faster, fresher and tastier alternative to fast food in the UK.

“Bringing a new Chopstix to the Rhyl area is a fantastic opportunity, both for us as we create 20 jobs in the local area, and for our customers, who are invited to visit on opening day and beyond for a taste of the delicious and diverse dishes that Chopstix has to offer.”

Chopstix owners Sam Elia and Menashe Sadik launched their first business together in Camden High Street, London selling fish and chips, pizza, kebabs and falafels.

They soon added Chinese and Pan-Asian food to their offering and, in 2002, opened their first dedicated Chopstix store.

Today, you can find more than 90 Chopstix stores throughout the UK.

The noodle bar’s popular dishes are also available to order from Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Just Eat.
